Updates
Nov 26, 2025
Big news, Phenom players! We are thrilled to announce that one of the most requested features is now live on the platform. You asked for more ways to manage the swings of the game, and we’ve delivered.
Starting today, players can now choose to Run It Twice or even Run It Three Times when all-in.
Here is everything you need to know about how to use this feature to reduce variance and take control of your game.

What Is "Run It Twice"?
Run It Twice (RIT) is a feature designed to smooth out the inevitable ups and downs of poker.
Normally, when players are all-in before the river, the remaining community cards are dealt once to determine a single winner. When you agree to Run It Twice, the remaining streets are dealt two separate times, creating two separate outcomes. The pot is then split based on the results of each "run."
On Phenom, we’ve taken it a step further by also offering the option to Run It Three Times.
When Can It Be Used?
There are specific conditions required for the Run It Twice options to trigger:
Heads Up Only: Run It Twice/Three Times is available only in Heads Up (two-player) all-in situations.Multi-Way Pots: If there are 3 or more players all-in, the hand will automatically Run It Once.

How It Works
When a Heads Up all-in situation occurs, the action unfolds as follows:
The Proposal: The player currently "at risk" (the player with fewer chips) has 5 seconds to make their choice: Run It Once, Twice, or Three Times. The Agreement: The opponent then has 5 seconds to agree to the proposal or decline it.
Crucial Rules:
Mutual Agreement: Both players must agree to run it multiple times. If the opponent declines the proposal, the hand will Run It Once.
The Timer: If either player times out before picking an option or responding, the hand will automatically Run It Once.

Automating Your Choices
We know speed is essential on the tables. We’ve added extensive settings so you can automate your RIT preferences without slowing down the action.
By default, "Automatically Run It Multiple Times" is OFF.
When Auto Run is OFF, you will always be presented with manual options if you are at risk, or prompted to manually agree/decline if your opponent is at risk.
When Auto Run is ON, the system will act based on your pre-selected preference (Never, Twice, or Three Times). Here is the logic:
If you select "Never":
If you are at risk, it automatically selects Run It Once.
If your opponent is at risk, you automatically decline their offer to run it multiple times.
If you select "Twice":
If you are at risk, you automatically select Run It Twice.
If your opponent is at risk and chooses Twice, you automatically agree.
Note: If your opponent proposes "Three Times," you will receive a manual prompt to agree or decline.
If you select "Three Times":
If you are at risk, you automatically select Run It Three Times.
If your opponent is at risk and chooses Three Times, you automatically agree.
Note: If your opponent proposes "Twice," you will receive a manual prompt to agree or decline.
Benefits of Running It Twice
Why should you use this feature?
Reduce Variance: This is the main benefit. By splitting the pot across multiple outcomes, you are less likely to lose your entire stack due to a single unlucky river card.Mental Game: Smoothing out the variance can help prevent tilt during long sessions.
