Important Update: Phenom Wallet Migration

Mar 18, 2026
We are making some changes to the wallet infrastructure. In the coming days you will recieve a prompt about this migration in order to make the transition.

Why we're making this change
We've been experiencing intermittent performance and availability issues tied to our gasless transaction provider, Biconomy.
We're addressing this by moving away from their smart wallet system (ERC-4337) to a simpler, more reliable approach (EIP-7702) — where each user's main wallet serves as both their regular and smart wallet, removing a layer of complexity.
Biconomy's relayer remains in use during this transition, but this change sets us up to remove that dependency entirely once the migration is complete.
The broader context
Polygon itself has also contributed to some of our performance challenges. Moving to Base was a first step in addressing that and on Base, we don't need Biconomy's infrastructure at all since gasless transactions are handled differently. We've already completed this shift for the Token Dashboard, which runs entirely on the Privy wallet.
The problem this solves for players
Right now, players have two wallets the Biconomy smart wallet and the Privy embedded wallet — which creates unnecessary confusion. With this change, players will have a single wallet: the Privy wallet that's been part of our platform since day one through our authentication flow. One wallet, one address, no confusion.

What it means going forward
This simplification sets us up for a cleaner architecture as we continue expanding on Base. It reduces our reliance on third-party infrastructure, gives us more control over the transaction experience, and makes wallet management straightforward for players.
Important Notes
This will update your wallet send address. Please ensure you remove any saved addresses from the wallet that you use to fund your Phenom account.
