Jul 3, 2025

As the 2025 World Series of Poker Main Event kicks off, the Phenom Poker roster enters the most prestigious tournament in the game with a mix of ambition, history, and firepower. From former champions to rising stars, these players are not just showing up , they’re hunting for deep runs, final tables, and bracelets.

Brian Rast

Brian is leading the charge, coming off an impressive 24th-place finish in 2024 that earned him $350,000. That followed a 134th-place finish in 2022 for $62,500. With multiple high-roller titles under his belt, Rast is focused, experienced, and hungry to improve on his best-ever Main Event result.

Joseph Cheong

Joseph is no stranger to the spotlight. His legendary 3rd-place finish in the 2010 Main Event netted him $4.13 million and cemented his status as one of the game’s most fearless competitors. He added another cash in 2019, finishing 209th for $50,855. Expect Cheong to bring the heat once again.

Chris Hunichen

Chris Hunichen, a powerhouse online and live, is still looking to land his first Main Event cash. Known for dominating high-stakes tournaments and outmaneuvering elite opponents, Hunichen is due and no one would be surprised to see him run deep this year.

Eric Baldwin

Eric has quietly built a solid Main Event résumé with two deep runs: 59th in 2010 for $138,285 and 287th in 2012 for $38,453. A steady presence at the table, Baldwin’s deep understanding of tournament dynamics makes him one to watch.

Angela Jordison

Angela continues to prove she belongs on the big stage. In 2022, she finished 175th for $53,900, then backed it up with another strong showing in 2024, finishing 1201st for $17,500. Her patient, precise playstyle is tailor-made for the Main Event grind.

Alec Torelli

Alec nearly broke through to the final table in 2023, finishing 11th for a career-best Main Event result of $700,000. Known for his deep strategic thinking and ability to adapt, Torelli will be back in 2025 looking to finish what he started.

Huck Seed

Huck Seed, the 1996 WSOP Main Event Champion, is always a threat. His legacy includes a 6th-place finish in 1999 ($167,700), a 73rd-place finish in 2007 ($106,382), and a cash in 2012 ($21,707). Seed’s tournament instincts and calm under pressure remain as sharp as ever.

Viktor Blom

Viktor Blom, the iconic “Isildur1,” is still chasing his first Main Event cash. One of the most explosive players in poker history, Blom enters 2025 with momentum and a reputation that makes every hand he plays must-watch poker.

Dan Cates

Better known as “Jungleman,” cracked the top 1000 in 2015 with a 775th-place finish for $15,000. His poker IQ is unmatched, and if he catches fire, he’s capable of dismantling any table in front of him.

Justin Young

Justin also brings valuable Main Event experience, having cashed in 2021 with an 859th-place finish for $15,000. A regular in high-stakes tournaments, he’ll be looking to put together a deeper run this year.

Sergio Aido

Picked up a Main Event cash in 2023 with a 500th-place finish worth $25,000. A tournament tactician with a proven track record, Aido will be looking to go much deeper this summer.

With the 2025 Main Event underway, the Phenom Poker Pros are locked in and ready. Some are chasing their first cash. Others are back for redemption. And a few are aiming to add another historic chapter to their storied careers.
